Zeina Nancy Hamie, PhD, has been active in the teaching, research, and practice of clinical psychology for more than a decade. Zeina Nancy Hamie, PhD, has been a member of the American Psychological Association since November 2004. Hamie completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan in Dearborn. Majoring in psychology and sociology, she graduated in 2002 with honors. She furthered her studies at the University of Detroit Mercy, earning an MA in clinical psychology in 2007 and a PhD in clinical psychology in 2009. She remains at the University of Detroit Mercy today as an adjunct lecturer, teaching undergraduate students in the field of human sexual behavior and social psychology at the graduate level. She also has taught statistics to graduate students. In her spare time, she enjoys studying philosophy, playing tennis, and cooking. She is currently a volunteer at the Center for Arab American Philanthropy, where she works to educate Arab-American families in the Dearborn community.
